As part of the Wild Fundraising initiative, UAnimals partner UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group, together with its clients, raised and donated money to purchase heat pumps. The equipment will heat the enclosures for tigers and lions at the Wild animals rescue center in the Kyiv region.
The Center has designed a new facility where they plan to build at least four enclosures for large cats. It is there that workers will install two heat pumps to heat it during cold weather.
Animals that have been kept in improper conditions or exploited, particularly predators, are brought to the Center. Here they are treated and relocated to new habitats abroad, where they have much more freedom. For example, two lions recently arrived at a reserve in South Africa. Tsar and Jamil were rescued from a zoo in the Kyiv region, spent some time at the Wildlife Rescue Center, and finally arrived at the Shamwari Private Game Reserve. Here they will live for the rest of their lives.
The equipment provided to the Center with the help of UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group will warm other large cats in the next cold season.
