During the war, the Russian army purposefully destroys not only the civilian population, but also animals and the environment as a hole.
UAnimals is launching an international campaign to condemn Russia for the ecocide in Ukraine. The first step to do this is to sign and spread this petition.
Currently, as much as 20% of nature reserves in Ukraine have already affected by the war. The Russians occupied 8 nature reserves and twelve national nature parks. At the same time, more than 6 million domestic animals died as a result of Russian invasion. 182,880 m2 of soil have been contaminated with harmful substances and 23,286 hectares of forest have been burned by Russian missiles and shells.
We call on international state and public organizations, eco-activists to be united in a single coalition, to help in the fight against the aggressor who commits ecocide. We all should direct efforts to the preservation and post-war restoration of Ukraine’s natural environment.
Please sign the petition and share this post with as many people as possible!
