In August, we continued to rescue and evacuate, feed and treat, sterilise and support financially those who needed help. We are grateful to every person who joined us in helping animals.

For the amount of

UAH 24 417 639.86.

● we managed to help 26 228 animals (financial assistance for 8 750 animals, sterilisation for 2 362 animals, food for 14 939 animals, evacuation for 167 animals and transportation for 10 animals);

● the total amount of financial expenses was 24,417,639.86 UAH. This amount includes financial assistance, payment for sterilisations, reconstruction of shelters, project implementation, purchase and shipment of feed, logistics, purchase of medicines and treatment, evacuation, costs of supporting wild animals of the Natalia Popova Wild Animal Rescue Centre and UAnimals, administrative costs, and purchases on request;

● we delivered 45,982 kilograms of feed from our warehouse for about 14,939 animals;

● we sterilised 2,362 animals: 1,467 cats and 895 dogs, and carried out on-site sterilisations in Pervomaisk, Chornobaivka, Yuzhnoukrainsk, Dobropillya, Gostomel, Karlivka as part of our free sterilisation programme for stray animals in more than 30 cities across Ukraine;

● we evacuated 123 animals from Donetsk region, 16 animals from Zaporizhzhia region and 28 animals from Kherson region;

● our legal department also filed 7 reports to the police about animal cruelty, concluded 4 contracts, filed 2 appeals, sent the necessary letters of support and guarantee for volunteers and drivers, as well as letters of transfer of animals for temporary keeping to the shelter.

– bought two wheelchairs for two dogs with paralysed hind limbs from Pervomaisk;

– purchased 5 tonnes of porridge and 27,778 kilograms of food for dogs and cats to be distributed to shelters/volunteers;

– procured and donated syringes, injection solutions, treatment products, antibiotics, eye drops, vaccines, wound care sprays, and diapers for 1,959 animals in Kherson, Kharkiv, Sloviansk, Koblevo, Pavlysh, Sumy, Myrhorod, Bryhidivka, Khotyn, as well as injection solutions and treatment products for 8 goats and 3 cows in Kramatorsk;

– assisted with the purchase of feed and veterinary medicines for 744 animals in the temporarily occupied Berdiansk and Kakhovka, Hola Prystan, Melitopol, Nova Kakhovka, Oleshky;

– also paid for examinations, blood tests, tests for viral diseases, and parasite treatment for 11 animals taken in serious condition from Donetsk Oblast and transferred to a veterinary clinic during an evacuation flight;

– purchased and delivered supportive medicines for Chernysh, a dog with cancer evacuated from Kherson after the hydroelectric power station explosion. Now, the animal is safe in Kyiv region;

– supported the From Heart to Tail Charity Foundation in Kyiv and assisted with the purchase of special feed and vaccines, as well as covering the debt of the clinic for the treatment of evacuated animals. The Foundation has 102 cats under its care, some of which were evacuated after the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station;

– paid for a veterinary examination and initial treatment of an injured dog found by volunteers on the road in the Zakarpattia region. The dog was taken for an overnight stay, after which the UAnimals team took it away and handed it over to the Babynets shelter in Kyiv Oblast;

– paid for the treatment of Prince, a cat from Kherson, who had been evacuated after the hydroelectric power station explosion, as well as for the treatment of 1 dog evacuated from the village of Lymanets in Kherson region in serious condition;

– paid for the treatment of Chernushka, a dog from Odesa who had been run over twice by a car. The animal in serious condition was transferred to a veterinary hospital for surgery;

– we supported the “No Borders” charity in Mykolaiv region, which takes care of 175 dogs, 25 cats and 2 leopards. The shelter needed a water supply. The nearby well is heavily contaminated and needs to be cleaned and repaired, so we donated assistance for repair work;

– supported the NGO “Zelenyi Hai” in Dnipropetrovs’k region, which takes care of 604 animals, including horses, ponies, donkeys, roes, goats, pigs, rabbits, birds, hedgehogs, rodents, cats, dogs, some of which were evacuated from the frontline regions of Ukraine, and donated funds to equip a hayloft to store feed;

– supported the Kotofey shelter in Nikopol, which takes care of 135 cats, and helped to buy a portable power plant, as the city has been experiencing constant water supply interruptions and the threat of blackouts since the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station was destroyed;

– purchased and donated antibiotics, wound care sprays, blood transfusion systems, vaccines, healing ointments, syringes, treatment products (anthelmintics), anti-inflammatory eye drops, cooling gels for 46 horses of the Dergachiv Children’s and Youth Equestrian Sports School in Kharkiv Oblast;

– purchased anti-inflammatories and painkillers for a horse evacuated from Kherson and now under the care of the Arion in Odesa;

– supported the NGO CC A.D. in Poltava region, which has 26 horses under its care (4 horses evacuated from Kherson after the hydroelectric power station explosion), 1 pony, 1 donkey and helped to purchase straw for horses;

– supported the Pride Rehabilitation Centre for Wild and Domestic Animals in Mykolaiv region, which takes care of 16 horses, 1 goat, 2 ponies and 1 donkey, and helped to purchase 1,500 bales of hay;

– supported the Horse Paradise social ranch (rehabilitating injured sports horses, those who have been abused, and those evacuated from the war zone, particularly from Kharkiv region), which has 29 horses under its care. We assisted with the purchase of hay for the animals;

– supported the private zoo Safari, located in the temporarily occupied city of Berdiansk, and assisted in purchasing hay and feed for 42 predatory and 413 domestic animals;

– built a quarantine space and enclosures for the Babynets shelter (150 animals): the infrastructure part of the quarantine has been completed, and finishing works/procurement of equipment for the operating room are underway. We have completed the construction of 17 enclosures;

– constructed enclosures for the Sumy Society for the Protection of Animals (550 animals): the fifth enclosure has been completed, and 8 enclosures are planned. Project in partnership with Karta Svitu;

– completed the construction of the fifth dog house at the Victoria Bondarenko Shelter (180 animals);

– started dismantling the building on the territory of the future shelter for Zaporizhzhia Animal Protection Service (Kitty House – 750 animals);

– received 6258 kg of feed from Josera partners;

– launched the Wild Tattoo campaign in partnership with VeanTattoo as part of the Wild Collection;

– raffled off a flag signed by Zaluzhnyi as part of the Wild Collection;

– launched the Partnership page, where partners can learn about cooperation opportunities and leave an application on the website;

– launched the Corporate Assistance Platform;

– launched the sale of sticker packs as part of the Wild Collection in cooperation with the MasterZoo chain of stores;

– launched a joint collection with UkrSibbank to support wild animals;

– community volunteers met people with a dog who were trying to leave the left bank of the Kherson region; they managed to take the dog out and reunite it with its family;

– travelled to Donetsk, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions to distribute food to animal owners who cannot take care of them on their own

– attracted 13 volunteers who agreed to support the Wildlife Rescue Centre and clean the territory

– made a test model of the fence for the enclosure to be built at the Wild Animal Rescue Centre;

– made a down payment for the production of modular houses for the Wild Animal Rescue Centre;

– financially supported the construction of 8 enclosures for evacuated stray
animals (affected by the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station) in the Gostomel shelter;

– financed the construction of a fence for a shelter for dogs and cats of animal volunteers in Kharkiv region;

– purchased metal for the construction of a metal fence (outdoor enclosures) at the Wildlife Rescue Centre;

– purchased materials for constructing animal enclosures for the Aqela shelter (220 wild, domestic and pets).
