In July, more than 100 UAnimals volunteers gathered at Khortytsia to clean up the garbage on the shallow bottom of the Dnipro River. In addition, with your help, we fed, treated, sterilised, and transported animals from the war zone. We continue to raise money to develop the Wild Animal Rescue Centre, support shelters and volunteers daily, process appeals about animal cruelty, etc.

● we managed to help 27 115 animals (10 056 animals received financial assistance, 2 549 animals were sterilised, 14 187 animals received food, 316 animals were evacuated, and 7 animals were transported);
● a total of 12,878,248 UAH was spent. This amount includes financial assistance, payment for sterilisations, reconstruction of shelters, project implementation, purchase and shipment of feed, logistics, purchase of medicines and treatment, evacuation, costs of supporting wild animals of the Natalia Popova Wild Animal Rescue Centre and UAnimals, administrative costs, and purchases on request. ● we sent 45,315 kilograms of food for 14,187 dogs and cats from our warehouse to about 50 cities/towns in Ukraine. We also sent cages, carriers, medicines, collars, muzzles, etc;
● sterilised 2,549 animals (1,602 cats and 947 dogs) as part of our free sterilisation programme for stray animals in more than 30 cities and towns of Ukraine. We also carried out on-site sterilisations in Boyarka, Pobuzhske, Isayky, Blyzniuky, Karlivka, Pavlohrad, Pershotravensk, Ternivka, Bilopillia, Borodyanka, and Gostomel;
● our legal department sent 4 applications for animal cruelty, 13 letters, 3 memoranda, 7 agreements, filed an appeal, 1 ordinary complaint for inaction, participated in a court hearing, provided advice on animal protection issues received by the hotline, and dealt with other applications, letters, memoranda, orders and requests.

– we purchased and delivered antibiotics, bandages, treatment preparations, anti-inflammatory sprays, diapers, injection solutions, wound treatment sprays, sedatives, bowls, syringes, needles, vaccines for 1273 dogs and cats from Chornobaivka, Kherson, as well as evacuated animals from Kherson and Donetsk regions, Khotyn, Khmelnytskyi, Babintsy, Pavlysh (all of which receive evacuated animals), and Selidovo; as well as veterinary medicines for 150 goats/goat lets and 7 horses under the care of DOG HELP UKRAINE in Kyiv region;
– donated assistance for the purchase of feed and veterinary medicines for 678 animals in the temporarily occupied cities of Topolivka, Melitopol, Berdiansk, Oleshky, Zaliznyi Port, Kakhovka, Tokmak, Vesele, Vasylivka;
– paid for X-rays, a neurologist’s consultation, and the purchase of veterinary medicines and exceptional food for three evacuated cats from Kherson and Donetsk Oblast. The animals are kept in the Kotonoski shelter in Kyiv;
– provided assistance to pay for the operation to remove wood chips, purchase veterinary medicines and diapers for Kashtan, a dog evacuated from Kyiv region and now under the care of Tatiana Vozna;
– helped to pay for the purchase of hydro colloidal plasters for wound healing for one evacuated puppy, which is under the care of the NGO “Aqela”, Chuguiv, Kharkiv region;
– helped to pay for the treatment of two cats rescued from Kharkiv region, which were brought to volunteer Rimma Mas with severe intoxication and, as a result, liver failure and viral peritonitis.
– paid for veterinary examinations and vaccinations for 8 evacuated puppies from Chornobaivka;
– paid for veterinary examinations, tests for viral diseases, vaccinations, sterilisation, hospitalisation in a clinic, and parasite treatment for 16 kittens and cats evacuated from Kherson after the hydroelectric power station explosion;
– helped to pay for the surgery of an injured dog Tyson, who serves at the facility together with the military in Kharkiv;
– paid for treating two seriously ill dogs that had been hospitalised in a veterinary hospital for a long time. The animals are under the care of Lyudmila Serdyuk, Bashtanka, Mykolaiv region;
– assisted with the purchase of medicines for the treatment of an injured dog that suffered from shelling and is undergoing lifelong medical treatment, as well as exceptional food for 172 dogs and 23 cats to the Charity Foundation “Bez Granits”, Mykolaiv;
– paid for testing for viral diseases and ectoparasite treatment for 5 dogs that had been evacuated from Kherson in serious condition;
– paid for the treatment of 12 evacuated animals, which we handed over to the Sumy Society for the Protection of Animals after the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, as well as for the surgery of 1 injured cat found in the rubble of a destroyed house in Kharkiv;
– paid for the vaccination and treatment of 26 evacuated animals from Donetsk and Kherson regions who arrived in serious condition;
– paid for the treatment of 10 cats our team evacuated from Kherson after the hydroelectric power station explosion. The animals were taken from Kherson in serious condition, with intestinal infections and eye inflammation. They were in a viral hospital for a long time. All of them were vaccinated, treated for parasites, and given medication. Now, they are staying at the Dvornyazhkin Dom shelter in Kyiv;
– purchased medicines and parasite treatments for 500 animals at the Fatum shelter (Bashtanka, Mykolaiv region);
– purchased 100 complex vaccines for dogs of the shelter “Give a Chance” (Sloviansk, Donetsk region), a total of 400 animals;
– transferred money for the purchase of vaccines for puppies, food for animals with special needs and treatment of a sick cat in Kupyansk;
– supported the Horse Farm in Kharkiv Oblast, which has 20 horses under its care (7 of them are evacuees), and helped to purchase 450 bales of hay;
– purchased grain mixtures for feeding 21 horses under the care of the Cavalcade, Zaporizhzhia;
– Supported the NGO AC “A.D.” in Gozhuly, Poltava region, which keeps 26 horses, 1 pony, and 1 donkey. Recently, the equestrian club took care of 4 horses evacuated from Kherson after the hydroelectric power station explosion. They asked us to buy grain mixtures for the horses;
– assisted the Free Wings rehabilitation centre in Lviv Oblast, which has 267 birds under its care, and donated funds for the purchase of feed;
– paid for the transportation of an injured stork, which was placed under the care of the Halychyna Nature Park;
– supported the Ichnia National Park (Chernihiv Oblast) and transferred assistance to pay for diesel fuel, purchase a generator, tyres, starter, pump, hydraulic distributor, chainsaw, brushcutter and its components. The park is home to 240 species of animals (including 42 mammal species and 198 bird species. 47 are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine);
– purchased 3 first aid kits to equip evacuation vehicles and vet cars;
– procured equipment for dog handlers, including a GPS tracking system, tactical supplies, tent cages, life jackets, balls with magnets for dog training and animal care products at the request of the SES;
– purchased water tanks for 11 shelters/volunteers taking care of 17 horses and 716 cats, dogs and birds in cities with water supply problems after the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station explosion;
– helped to purchase water storage barrels and hoses for the NGO Rehabilitation Centre “Zelenyi Hai”, Dnipro region, which has 602 animals under its care;
– evacuated 238 cats and dogs, as well as 1 cow and 2 goats from Donetsk Oblast;
– evacuated 31 cats/kittens and dogs/puppies from Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.
– evacuated 44 dogs and cats from Kherson and the region;
– transported a goat (from the Wild Animal Rescue Centre) to the Zelenyi Hai eco-farm, Dnipro region, a dog evacuated from Donetsk region, which was handed over to a family in Uzhhorod, a dog evacuated from Kherson region, Umka, which was handed over to a family in Lviv region, an injured dog from the village of Makhunky (Khmelnytskyi region), who was transferred to Kyiv for treatment, a roe deer from Khmelnytskyi region, who was transferred to the Wild Animal Rescue Centre, two dogs from Yahotyn (the owner cannot take care of them), who were assigned to Dnipro, under the supervision of a volunteer
– purchased vaccines, treatments and syringes for the NGO “Pride” (Kandybine) to distribute in the villages affected by the dam explosion;
– transferred money to volunteer Larysa Pyatibrat to purchase means for catching animals in the Kherson region;
– transferred to volunteer Maria Goncharenko to purchase animal trapping equipment in Chornobaivka and surrounding villages;
– transferred funds to Markush for the purchase of equipment for catching stray animals in Kherson region;
– provided financial assistance to the Kotofeya shelter in Nikopol (130 animals) for the purchase of veterinary medicines and a quarantine hospital for cats;
– transferred financial assistance to Yana Lushchyk, 4 Paws shelter, Kherson, 600 animals, to purchase building materials for the construction of an outdoor kitchen – the shelter has no electricity;
– purchased vaccines, treatments and other veterinary products for distribution in the villages affected by the hydroelectric power station explosion, as well as for the shelters “Cat Hippo” (300 animals) and “Chance” (176 animals) in Kherson
– transferred money to the NGO “Pride”, Kandybine (204 animals), which takes care of evacuated animals from Kherson region, to purchase a quarantine hospital;
– transferred money to the Monami Charitable Foundation, Kherson, for the evacuation of animals from the Kherson region;
– helped Kyiv Tails (188 animals) to purchase veterinary drugs and feed, as well as pay for the treatment of evacuated animals;
– helped the shelter “Cat Hippo” in Kherson to pay for the treatment of 6 animals;
– treated a dog that suffered from the hydroelectric power station explosion in Kherson. He spent 2 days in the water and needed a ventilator and intensive care;
Reconstruction:
– We purchased boards for constructing kennels and enclosures for a shelter that cares for evacuated animals in Khmelnytsky. There are 97 animals in the shelter;
– the Kitty’s Home shelter in Zaporizhzhia, which has 750 animals, transferred money to build a shelter for cats;
– purchased corrugated board for a cat shelter in Khotyn (300 animals);
– Babynets animal shelter for 150 animals – money was transferred to build a quarantine room and enclosures;
– organised an international activation, “How to get off this planet”, in the cities of New York, Toronto, Seattle, Augsburg, and Hamburg;
– held a live broadcast about the UAnimals Community;
– 9 volunteers of the Community visited the Gostomel shelter and helped with cleaning;
– more than 100 volunteers cleaned the Khortytsia nature reserve from the garbage that appeared after the Dnipro River was shallowed as a result of the occupiers’ blowing up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station;
– Community volunteers distributed 750 kilograms of feed in Donetsk, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
