In June, UAnimals assisted at least

13,000 animals

🚌 Evacuated 346 domestic, farm, and wild animals from Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Sumy regions.

🐮 Delivered over 16 tons of feed for 7,218 animals.

🐱 Sterilized 310 animals in frontline regions.

🐶 More than 300 volunteers from the UAnimals community joined the #водутваринам (water for animals) campaign.

🐈 Provided legal protection for animals: UAnimals lawyers processed 28 requests for legal assistance.

💶 A total of 5,242,968 hryvnias were spent on animal assistance this month.

🐾 Sterilized 235 cats and 75 dogs in frontline regions, and organized mobile sterilization in Konotop and Putyvl in the Sumy Region.
🐾 Transferred over 120,000 hryvnias for the construction of a palliative care room for animals at the Otrymai Druha shelter.
🐾 Delivered 16,312 kilograms of feed for 7,218 animals.
🐾 Evacuated 22 animals from the Vovchansk and Kupyansk districts in the Kharkiv Region.
🐾 Evacuated 28 animals from Kurakhove, Myrnohrad, Dobropillia, Lyman, Druzhkivka, Romanivka, and Pokrovsk in the Donetsk Region.
🐾 In another trip, evacuated 61 animals from Lyman, Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Bohoyavlenka, Toretsk, Kurakhove, and Niu-York.
🐾 Evacuated 17 dogs from the Sumy Region, including from Seredyna-Buda, Sorokyne, Druzhba, and Chuikivka.

🐾 Evacuated 12 dogs from the Kharkiv Region with the help of wonderful volunteers Maria and Andriy. We are grateful to them!

🐾 Additionally, evacuated 42 animals from the Kharkiv Region, including two horses, six ponies, a boar, two sows, nine piglets, three mini pigs, thirteen goats, and six ducks.

🐾 Evacuated 82 animals from Toretsk, including a cow, a bull, two calves, three geese, seven ducks, 50 chickens, a peacock, 11 parrots, a water bird, five dogs, and their human, farmer Mykola.

🐾 From Kharkiv Region, evacuated 11 dogs, 17 chickens, and a rooster. On the same trip from the Donetsk Region, evacuated three cats, a kitten, three parrots, and twelve dogs. Sadly, one dog died.

🐾 As part of that trip, transported five puppies from a veterinary clinic to the Zoosimya shelter in Pavlysh, Kirovohrad Region.

🐾 There was another trip to the Donetsk Region. Evacuated 14 dogs, 20 cats and kittens, and a rooster from Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Komar, Yasna Poliana, Serhiivka, Hirnyk, Selidove, and Pokrovsk.

🐾 During evacuation trips, delivered 1,354 kilograms of feed to shelters in Khmelnytskyi, Lutsk, Pavlysh, Starokostiantyniv, and a shelter in the Vinnytsia Region.

🐾 Paid for the temporary care of a dog named Lolita, evacuated from the Donetsk Region, and later transferred her to a family in Shkarivka near Bila Tserkva.

🐾 Paid for the vaccination and temporary care of a dog named Baron, evacuated from Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv Region.

🐾 Paid for the temporary care, vaccination, and sterilization of a dog named Caesar, evacuated from Prystan, Kharkiv Region.

🐾 Paid for the temporary care, parasite treatment, vaccination, and special feeding of puppies evacuated from Lyman, Donetsk Region.

🐾 Used funds from a special fundraiser to pay for the treatment of an evacuated cat named Arseniy, who was under inpatient care at the AldenVet clinic.

🐾 300 volunteers left water on the streets for homeless animals.

🐾 70 volunteers cleaned enclosures and premises of 12 shelters in Ukraine.

🐾 Volunteers made over 200 social media shares to support the animal aid collection for the Sumy Region.
🐾 Three volunteers joined evacuation trips in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

🐾 Organized spa days for animals in seven shelters across Ukraine, with 90 volunteers caring for over 300 cats and dogs.

🐾 Sent one ton of feed to frontline villages in the Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions.

🤗 Fostered friendly collaborations to aid animals.

🐾 Received 6,069 kilograms of feed from partners Josera Ukraine.

🐾 Signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Old Lion Publishing House.

🐾 Applied for grants from World Animals Day, IMI, and Helvetas.

🐾 Received a donation of 40,000 hryvnias from the IT company Viseven.

🐾 Completed the first month of activity with partner Hotline, where users donated 14,200 bonus points, equivalent to 14,200 hryvnias, to help animals.

🐾 Received 1,153 hryvnias from Gradus Research.

🫎UAnimals lawyers have done a lot of work
🐾 Processed 28 requests via the chatbot.
Sent a statement to the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv Region about the improper keeping of animals at the Lviv City Children’s Ecological and Naturalistic Center. Also appealed to the State Consumer Service in the Lviv Region and sent a deputy request from the Humane Country Inter-factional Association.
🐾 Submitted a criminal offense report.
🐾 Analyzed and prepared conclusions for new bills from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
🐾 Sent an appeal to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine regarding the risks of Bill 9516 concerning forest management, requesting it not be adopted in its current form.
🐾 On June 7, 2024, registered Bill No. 11328 on amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine to align them with the requirements of the European Convention for the Protection of Pet Animals.
🐾 Continued work on new bills:
Prepared and sent proposals to the Ministry of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure on the development and approval of Rules for the transportation of animals in public motor vehicles.
Prepared a comparative table of amendments to the current Cabinet of Ministers resolutions on bus transportation;
and worked on a project related to animal euthanasia.
🐾 Provided comments on 1+1 and Suspilne regarding Bill No. 11328 on amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine to align them with the requirements of the European Convention for the Protection of Pet Animals.
🐾 Sent appeals to international organizations regarding the anniversary of the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.
🐖 This month, we also checked and verified three shelters.
🐾 Reviewed documents of 18 shelters.
🐾 Agreed on the terms of contracts with shelters for which we launched a fundraiser for sick animals.
🐾 Established contacts with three new shelters with which we can cooperate. This means that we have a few more places to shelter evacuated animals.
