This month we:
🚚Evacuated 297 animals, 38 of which were domesticated.
🐱Held the All-Ukrainian Animal Protection Award and awarded 15 volunteers.
🐾Shipped and sent 10,203 kilograms of feed for 3,504 animals.
🔅Sterilized 1,049 animals in the frontline regions.
🌳 Planted 43 thousand new trees in the forests of 9 regions of Ukraine together with the UAniamls community.
🐛Helped more than 1,258 animals with medicines worth UAH 225 thousand.
We launched a language collection and together with our partners raised money for sterilization.
🐱Consulted people in 47 appeals on the legal platform.
🤠Held events as part of the #stopecocideukraine campaign in five cities abroad: Paris, London, Warsaw, Lisbon, and Berlin.
💵 In total, we spent UAH 6 million 830 thousand 338.

🐾688 cats and 361 dogs were sterilized.
🐾Sterilizations were also carried out in Hlukhiv, Sumy region, and Mykolaiv region.
🐾Shipped 10,203 kilograms of feed for 3,504 animals.
🐾Paid for vaccination and overnight stay for the dog Kraseniy, who was taken from the checkpoint in the Kherson region. While the dog was being treated, we managed to find a family for him.
🐾Paid for the examination, treatment, feeding, sterilization, and overstay of the evacuated dog Dzhemia from Tokarivka in the Kherson region. Fortunately, Dzhemia also managed to find a family.
🐾Paid for the overstay of four evacuated dogs from Donetsk region, as well as examination, tests, and wound treatment for Rex, a sheepdog with an amputated leg, evacuated from Selidove.
🐾297 animals were evacuated from Donetsk, Kherson, and Sumy regions. Among these animals are cats, dogs, a cow, a goat, 3 goats, 3 goats, a horse, 3 piglets, 17 chickens, 11 ducks.
We also evacuated two people who were leaving with their animals.
🐾What we bought:
- 7 tons of dog and cat food for March;
- 600 kilograms of feed for mass distribution to animals in the frontline areas;
- 1000 microchips for animal identification and 1 scanner for the sterilization team;
- 900 microchips for animal identification and 2 scanners for the evacuation team;
- 10 large cages for the transportation of animals;
- 1,845 kilograms of cat and dog food to be distributed during the flights;
- sedatives for animals during evacuation;
- 114 pieces of adhesive tape and 4 dispensers for our warehouse; we will use the tape for feed as a sticker and a “not for sale” mark;
- feed for animals in the Uglyk and Paw of Help shelters as part of an urgent grain collection for domestic animals.
🐾 As part of the Paw of Care project, we delivered 3 quarantine boxes to three shelters: “Chance” in Zaporizhzhia region, Babynets shelter in Kyiv region, and “Zoosiyya” in Kropyvnytskyi region.
🐾 We provided medicines for more than 1,258 animals worth more than UAH 225 thousand. These animals are taken care of by wonderful volunteers:

🐾Continued to support the shelters financially and transferred money for hay, a boiler, and two stoves for animals in Horse Paradise; and money for the treatment of animals evacuated from the Donetsk region, which are now being cared for in Phoenix.
The UAnimals community was also active:
- 15 volunteers brought eco-friendly treats to pets and domestic animals in two shelters in Kyiv and Dnipro regions;
- On the occasion of World Wildlife Day, volunteers went to single pickets with posters to remind us that nature is our home;
- Delivered 600 kilograms of feed and fed approximately 260 animals to such shelters in Kherson, Kharkiv, and Mykolaiv regions;
- We photographed animals in seven shelters in Ukraine as part of UAnimals’ Photo Day to help them find homes;
- We planted 43 thousand new trees in forests in nine regions of Ukraine. More than 150 volunteers joined the campaign.
🐾 We have received 4,611 kilograms of feed from Josera partners, and thank you very much for your support!
🐾Josera also partnered with UAnimals and Humane Country to present gifts to our volunteers at the All-Ukrainian Animal Protection Award. How cool are they!
🐾 For the second year in a row, The Body Shop has joined the partnership as part of the animal protection award. Thank you for your gifts!
🐾We launched a language collection with Tumazar and Olga Shurova’s School of French to raise money for animal sterilization!
🐾We received 100 thousand hryvnias from the project with the MasterZoo network, which we spent on animal sterilization.
🐾 We completed a two-day training from Tvoia Opora.
🐾We met Creative Sich and are preparing something interesting for our projects!
🐾We wrote and sent a media grant to Renaissance.
🐾We launched an evacuation fundraiser with blogger Valerish and AirMediaTech.
🐾We received 200 kilograms of food from Home Food and sent it to the Mala Dzyga shelter.
🐾Launched the Charity Photo Zone project with the MasterZoo pet supply chain in Lviv.

- Provided consultations on 47 requests in the chatbot.
- We sent an appeal from the International Association of Humane Country regarding the fire in the Osokorky Ecopark.
- We sent an appeal to all Departments of Education and Science to stop the dissemination of information in educational institutions about mobile wildlife exhibitions, mobile menageries, and mobile zoos.
- One complaint was filed on the fact of cruel treatment (running over a dog).
- We sent additional petitions and evidence in the case of the DogHelps shelter to the Brovary Police Department in Kyiv Oblast.
- In the case of dog poisoning in Berdychiv, we filed a petition and prepared a complaint against the investigator’s decision to refuse to recognize me as a victim. The court partially upheld the complaint and canceled the decision.
- We sent an appeal to the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection and a request to request and examine the evidence.
- We wrote a conclusion based on the results of the analysis of the draft Law of Ukraine No. 1206-IX “On Veterinary Medicine” dated February 04, 2021.
- We received a scientific opinion on the feasibility and validity of adopting the draft Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code of Ukraine on Strengthening Liability for Offenses for the Protection of Flora and Fauna, Their Habitat, Protection of Animals from Cruelty, Mandatory Confiscation of Animals and Liability for Failure to Perform Parental Responsibilities,” and submitted the draft law to the deputies.
- Analyzed and prepared opinions on the draft Law No. 11062 of 04.03.2024 “On Plant Protection Products and Fertilizers”; Opinion on the draft Law 11063 of 04.03.2024 “On the State Agrarian Register”.
- We have completed work on the draft law on the registration and identification of pets and prepared all supporting documents. We are waiting for an expert opinion.
- The draft law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine to Bring Them in Line with the requirements of the European Convention for the Protection of Domestic Animals” was finalized and submitted to MPs.
- We sent our comments to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on the draft Law of Ukraine on Land Liberalization.
- Prepared instructions for the post and website on the topic of traveling wildlife exhibitions, traveling wildlife exhibitions in educational institutions, and case of violation of the law by contacting zoos.
- Analyzed and prepared a conclusion to the Draft Order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of March 05, 2024, on Approval of the Requirements for Pre-Slaughter and Post-Slaughter Inspection of Animals.
- Participated in a meeting with the Coordination Group on shelters and prepared proposals for the Coordination Group on shelters to amend the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Animals from Cruelty” to Article 15 “Animal shelters.
🐾Told the world about the Russian ecocide in Ukraine and organized events abroad as part of the #stopecocideukraine campaign.
- “The Dead Flag” campaign in Paris: birds were printed on a 3D printer and laid out the Russian flag.
- For the action in London, the Russian embassy was surrounded by a red ribbon with the words “Danger!”.
- In Warsaw, Lisbon, and Berlin, activists added the words “ecocide Ukraine” to the “Stop” road signs to draw attention to Russia’s ecocide in Ukraine.
🐾We have finished construction of the Roztochia bird shelter. Wounded birds are brought there from all over Ukraine, including from the war zones. Now even more birds will be able to be rehabilitated and released.
