The Animalism charity shop donated 107,000 UAH to UAnimals for oxygen boxes for six shelters. This money is the shop’s profit from selling toy mice in collaboration with Hanna Ivanivna.
With the funds received, UAnimals purchased eight oxygen boxes for the following shelters:
– “Zoosimya” in the Kirovohrad region;
– “Get a Friend” in Odesa;
– “Homeless World” in Kyiv region;
– “Friends of Animals” in Sumy region;
– “Animal Protection Service” in Kharkiv;
– “Cat House” in Khmelnytskyi.
Oxygen boxes are used for treating and rehabilitating animals. An oxygen concentrator is connected to such a box, which accumulates pure oxygen from the atmosphere. The oxygen-enriched humidified air is then delivered to the patient through an oxygen mask. It is recommended that all veterinary clinics and animal shelters have such a box.
UAnimals plans to purchase oxygen concentrators for these boxes. Some shelters already have these devices, while in others, the boxes will be used as quarantine units until the concentrators are available.
