Fundraiser is complete

8 909 USD

ABOUT THIS FUNDRAISER

We want to raise $8,900 to pay the bills of the clinics for the treatment of animals rescued by soldiers.

Your donations will pay for surgeries, consultations, treatmenst, sterilizations, vaccinations, and other procedures for animals in animals clinics in Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Dnipro regions.

We are regularly asked by compassionate soldiers to pay for the treatment of wounded and sick animals from the frontline villages and towns or combat positions.

Helping Ukrainian defenders has become a permanent focus for us. That’s why we are launching our fourth such fundraiser.

Thanks to the people who joined three previous fundraisers, we were able to treat a total of 52 animals. Today, there are still cats and dogs in the clinics, and the money to pay the bills is needed. We will also provide help to new animals.

Here are some rescue stories to show why it’s important to support the fundraiser:

Cat Slava was rescued by soldiers. The animal had a wound on his paw that would not heal. Veterinarians found a tumor. Fortunately, it was not malignant. So Slava was treated and transferred to Druh shelter in Dnipro.

Dog Bulya was injured during the russian shelling of a military unit in the Odesa region and sustained shrapnel wounds. Bulya was very scared and tried to run away but was hit by a car in the chaos. The soldiers found Bulya injured, her pelvis was broken. Volunteers of the charity organization The Way to Help took Bulya under their care.

Bulya underwent a surgery at the clinic in Odesa, and had all her wounds got stitched up. Volunteers of the organization found a foster home for Bulya in the Odesa region. Bulya’s foster person has a veterinary degree, so she is helping the animal to go through rehabilitation. The dog is already better and even has started to walk on her own.

Mukha, a shepherd dog, lived with soldiers. One day the animal fell ill and her condition was rapidly deteriorating. Volunteers took the animal and brought her to a clinic in Zaporizhzhia. There, veterinarians took the necessary tests and examined the animal. The dog was neutered because she had developed inflammation of the uterus. The animal was also diagnosed with a congenital heart disease. We handed Mukha over to the family of a military man who took care of the dog at the front line.

We were able to help these animals thanks to your support and donations. Please support this fundraiser as well to save more animals suffering from the war.
