Complex emergency assistance to animals in the Sumy region

Every day, russians are shelling the Sumy region, with border villages and towns suffering the most from the attacks. Andriy Demchenko, Spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, has reported increased activity of russian reconnaissance and sabotage groups in the area. Additionally, Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, has warned of russia’s preparations to breach the border.

We aim to provide urgent assistance to animals in the Sumy border area before the situation escalates further. Given the rapidly changing circumstances and the possibility of restricted access due to military actions, time is of the essence.

Our objectives include:

– Organizing several evacuation missions (estimated cost: about $2,000)
– Purchasing 50 special animal carriers (estimated cost: $3,415)
– Acquiring 200 calming agents (estimated cost: $640)
– Distributing 950 kg of pet food to shelters and volunteers (estimated cost: $1,860)
