Fundraiser for 250 animals from the shelter in the Dnipropetrovsk region

The shelter “Druh” in the Dnipropetrovsk region cares for the animals evacuated from the frontline areas. Currently, the shelter has 250 animals, including 46 cats that just arrived last month.

Almost every animal that comes to the shelter has health problems, often suffering from severe viral diseases like leukemia and infectious peritonitis.

These conditions are highly contagious and dangerous for other animals, making it crucial to test and prevent the spread of the disease.

Vaccination and parasite treatment are essential for keeping these animals safe. For those who do get sick, medications are necessary, often including antiemetics, and treatments for diarrhea, mange, and feline distemper ( also known as feline panleukopenia virus). To ensure the correct dosage of medicines, the shelter needs an infusion pump with extension tubes, catheters, and syringes – a specialized system for administering medicines. Additionally, sick animals require diapers.

We aim to provide these essential items for the 250 animals and need to raise $2,434 to do so.

Evacuating an animal from a frontline area is only the first step in its rescue. The most challenging part, the treatment, follows later, which in many cases is a real fight for life.
