Emergency Support for Animals in Flooded Shelters in the Kirovohrad and Dnipropetrovsk Regions

ABOUT THIS FUNDRAISER

Friends, right now in the Kirovohrad and Dnipropetrovsk regions, a rescue operation is underway to save animals from the flooded shelters Bim and Druh. Shelter managers, together with emergency responders and volunteers, are pulling dogs and cats out of the freezing water after rising temperatures caused the river to overflow its banks.

The team from the Pegasus shelter is evacuating five animals from Bim to a partner veterinary clinic for examination. We have already delivered part of the emergency aid to Bim, including cages, hay, thermal blankets, chemical warmers, and food for cats and dogs. But much more work and funding are still needed to help the rescued animals survive the cold, receive treatment, and find temporary safe shelter.

That is why we have opened an urgent fundraiser for UAH 700,000 (≈ $16,867). We are raising funds based on direct requests from the shelters and their real, immediate needs — providing exactly what is required to save the animals right now.

Support is needed for:
— the Pegasus and Mini Shelter – Dobre Serce shelters, which rescued and are now caring for the evacuated animals;
— the Druh and Bim shelters, which were directly affected by the flooding.

With the collected funds, we will purchase and deliver:
— dog food;
— cages for temporary housing and safe transportation;
— dog houses to create new dry living spaces;
— diesel heaters to warm and dry the premises;
— disposable pads for animal care.

We will also cover the treatment of five injured and sick animals evacuated by volunteers from the Pegasus shelter to our partner veterinary clinic.

Please help us close this fundraiser by donating any amount you can. Every contribution matters.
