Fundraiser for Medical Equipment for Shelters

A cat named Vivi was rescued in extremely serious condition — with injuries to her jaw and eye. After treatment at the clinic, the animal could not be transferred to the shelter because it did not have an infusion pump — a device that controls the flow rate of IV drips.

This was vital for Vivi: without an infusion pump, it was impossible to administer the correct dosage of medication. At Give a Paw shelter, which is caring for Vivi, they say that due to severe swelling, the cat was unable to eat on her own, and now she can barely see.

Such situations happen often. Due to a lack of money and the workload on veterinary clinics, many sick and injured animals are treated directly in shelters. But most shelters do not have basic medical equipment, so volunteers have to improvise, and treatment takes much more time and effort than it could.

That is why we are raising UAH 93,885 (≈$2,223) for the most essential medical equipment that will help shelters treat animals faster and more effectively:

🩹 infusion pumps — to accurately dose medications and solutions during IV drips;

🩹 bactericidal recirculators — to clean and disinfect the air in rooms where animals are treated;

🩹 a quartz lamp — needed for disinfection and prevention of infections after surgeries or examinations;

🩹 an IV stand — to hold IV bags at the correct height so that the solution flows evenly;

🩹 examination tables — to allow for comfortable and careful examinations, bandage changes, and minor procedures.

Five shelters will receive assistance:

• Favorite Animal (Dnipropetrovsk region) — 600 animals;
• Cathouse (Khmelnytskyi region) — 169 animals;
• Give a Paw (Kirovohrad region) — 140 animals;
• SZO Zoorescue (Dnipropetrovsk region) — 117 animals;
• Zoohelp (Kirovohrad region) — 427 animals.

Most of the animals in these shelters are treated on-site. Please support the fundraiser with any amount you can — your contribution will help provide them with the necessary equipment for daily rescue!
