Requests for help are increasing as the frontline constantly shifts. Forced evacuations are being announced in more and more towns. People leave, but animals are often left locked in houses, tied in yards, or wandering the streets under shelling. Most are exhausted, injured, or suffering from diseases or infections.

We cannot help every animal in Ukraine, no matter how much we want to, but that’s no reason to stop. It’s a reason to do as much as possible here and now.

We are therefore raising 900,000 UAH (~$20 797,86). It’s a large amount, but together it is achievable. These funds will allow us to plan and carry out evacuation missions, remove animals from frontline areas, pay for fuel for evacuation vehicles, provide food and lodging for the team, and purchase necessary supplies — food, hay, straw, pads, and thermal blankets for work during cold periods. Funds will also cover veterinary care, hospital stays, vaccinations, sterilizations, viral disease testing, surgeries, wound treatments, blood transfusions, concussion treatments, amputations, and post-treatment rehabilitation. Some of our animals spend a month or more in the hospital.

For example, we are helping Grey, a dog found abandoned on a chain in an empty house just before the New Year by soldiers. He was lying in a broken shed without doors or windows, on the cold ground. We contacted a volunteer, who evacuated him to a veterinary clinic in Dnipro, where doctors discovered he was having seizures. He is now being examined and treated.

We will also cover the treatment of Manichka, a dog from the Dnipropetrovsk region. A volunteer evacuated her in critical condition and contacted us for help. She was brought to a veterinary clinic in Kryvyi Rih with severe hypothermia and signs of a viral infection. Doctors are fighting for her life, and we will cover the treatment costs.

Please join us with a donation — even $5, $10, or $20 will help.
