Fundraiser for the treatment of rescued animals under soldiers’ care

Help soldiers treat the animals they saved from the atrocities of war.

Soldiers look after both cats and dogs rescued during the war and those adopted even before the full-scale invasion. When treatment is needed but resources are insufficient, the soldiers turn to us.

After a request, we clarify the animal’s condition, arrange an appointment with a clinic, and veterinarians determine the necessary treatment. We help animals in critical condition first.

Currently, we provide treatment in Kharkiv and Dnipro. In Sumy, we can organize a veterinary examination, diagnostics, and a treatment prescription. Sterilization is available in Sumy and Donetsk regions. The soldiers must bring the animal to the clinic and back themselves. Assistance depends on the clinic’s ability to accept the animal and the project’s budget.

We aim to raise UAH 350,000 (≈$7,511) for examinations, tests, medications, vaccinations, sterilizations, surgeries, inpatient care, and other veterinary services.

This is already the tenth fundraiser for the treatment of soldiers’ animals. Here are a few stories of wards we helped thanks to your donations to previous projects.

Soldiers found five puppies near their military position. One day the animals suddenly became severely ill, and at the clinic they were diagnosed with canine plague in a very severe form. The puppies received medications and injections, and veterinarians constantly monitored their condition. At that time, UAH 133,435 (≈$2,983) were spent on treatment. Recently, they developed demodicosis, so treatment continues, and we will pay for it.

Zhulya wandered up to the soldiers at a checkpoint, and later she was accidentally hit by a car. Due to the lack of veterinary care, the fractures didn’t heal properly. Zhulya underwent surgery, completed rehabilitation, and now lives with a new family in Germany. We spent UAH 6,060 (≈$135) on her treatment.

The soldiers found Bobby tangled in an anti-drone net behind a checkpoint. He couldn’t get up, and at the clinic he was diagnosed with fractures of the pelvis and sacrum, frostbite of a paw, and large wounds on his abdomen. Bobby was treated and helped through rehabilitation. Now he lives together with Zhulya in a new family in Germany. We spent UAH 7,910 (≈$177) on his treatment.
