Fundraiser for three evacuation trips to Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions

Every day we receive messages from people in frontline towns and villages, from soldiers and volunteers. They ask us to help evacuate abandoned and stray animals that have no chance of escaping the shelling on their own. Before, we could still get into some towns or villages near the frontline, but today we are either not allowed to go there, or it’s just too dangerous. With constant shelling, routes along the frontline shift by the hour, so we’re in a rush to save as many animals as we can.

Now we are planning new evacuation trips to Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Together with the Animal Rescue Kharkiv team, we will also continue evacuating animals from Druzhkivka in Donetsk region. We haven’t been able to enter there on our own for a long time due to the evergrowing danger.

We are raising UAH 200,000 (≈$4,455). Of this, UAH 150,000 (≈$3,340) will go toward three evacuation trips (we need to pay for fuel, hay, pee pads, crates and carriers, veterinary medications, overnight stays, and food for the team), and UAH 50,000  (≈$1,114) for food for shelters that take in rescued animals. If any funds remain from the fundraiser, we will spend them on the treatment of evacuated animals.

We go on evacuation missions every week. On a single trip, we manage to save between 30 and 50 animals.
