Fundraiser to Support Wounded and Critically Ill Animals Affected by the War 8.0

Rada the dog was rescued from the front line by the soldiers and brought to the Kirovohrad region. A local resident gave shelter to the skinny, frightened dog. But soon tragedy struck again — Rada was hit by a car, suffering severe fractures in her front right and rear left paws.

Unable to cover the high cost of treatment, the guardian considered putting Rada to sleep. Thankfully, a volunteer from Zoohelp shelter stepped in, taking the dog under her care and reaching out to us for help.

The surgery and hospitalization cost about 30,000 UAH (~$​​725). With your support, Rada has a real chance to walk again and live the life she deserves.

Patrick, a young puppy, was also rescued by the soldiers, who brought him from the front-line positions to safety. Soon after, his hind legs began to fail. The soldiers found a local veterinary clinic, but they were only able to perform a partial examination.

Later, one of the defenders reached out to us for help. We took Patrick into our care and transferred him to a veterinary clinic in Dnipro. There, doctors discovered a fracture of the first cervical vertebra. While the bone is already healing, there is a risk of compression — pressure on the spinal cord. If his condition does not improve, surgery may be necessary.

With timely support and treatment, Patrick has a chance to regain mobility and live a full, happy life.

There are hundreds of stories like these. Some animals end up on the streets without food or water, others trapped in destroyed homes or yards under shelling. They grow weak, fall ill, suffer shrapnel wounds — and survive only thanks to the help of caring people. We often learn about their full diagnoses only after evacuation, in clinics or shelters.

This is why we are raising 750,000 UAH (~ $18,144). These funds will cover hospitalization, tests, examinations, surgeries, medications, and rehabilitation for rescued animals.
