About 100 cats and 80 dogs reside at the “Otrymay druga” shelter in Odesa. Many of them have serious health issues: spinal injuries, cancer, blindness, or disabilities.

These cats and dogs are unlikely to be adopted into new families because they require constant medical care. It is extremely difficult for shelters to find families for animals with disabilities.

We cannot make them fully healthy again, but we can improve the conditions in which they live at the shelter. Therefore, we plan to renovate a special room where terminally ill animals can live comfortably, as if at home.

All those cats and dogs will have their own warm, cozy, renovated room. We will purchase tiles for the floor to make it easy to clean, ensuring the room is perfectly suitable for animals with severe health issues. Here, the furry patients will also receive proper veterinary care.

Additionally, thanks to your support, we will purchase medicines, special food, and other essential goods for the sick animals at the shelter.
