Fundraiser for Quarantine Boxes for Four Shelters Housing Animals from Frontline Areas

Fundraiser is complete

8 125 USD

ABOUT THIS FUNDRAISER

All animals evacuated from areas of hostilities to shelters must first undergo quarantine. For this, shelters need special quarantine boxes. These boxes serve as temporary homes for newly arrived cats and dogs until they are examined by veterinarians and receive all necessary vaccinations.

We have launched a fundraiser to provide quarantine boxes for four shelters housing evacuated animals:

  • Dimpets in Sumy;
  • Shans League for Animal Protection in Pavlohrad;
  • Zoohelp in Oleksandriya;
  • Right to a New Life in Dnipro.

Together, these shelters currently house 454 dogs, 311 cats, 3 squirrels, and 9 pigeons.

Additionally, the shelters Dimpets, Shans League for Animal Protection. and Zoohelp require oxygen concentrators for their quarantine boxes to maintain specific conditions for severely ill animals. The Right to a New Life shelter informed us that they do not need concentrators, so we will send them only the quarantine box.

To equip these shelters with the necessary boxes and concentrators, we need to raise $7,848

Many of the animals arriving at these shelters from frontline areas are sick or injured and need immediate medical attention. These situations require specialized recovery conditions, care, and isolation in dedicated boxes.

These shelters also house many animals with incurable diseases, such as immunodeficiency or leukemia, who must live in separate boxes.

For example, Snowball, a cat suffering from immunodeficiency, needs to stay apart from healthy cats to avoid spreading the disease.

A brand-new box will provide Snowball with a much more comfortable and cozy environment.

Often, it is crucial for these boxes to be equipped with oxygen concentrators, ensuring a stable and continuous oxygen supply necessary for sustaining the lives and health of animals in critical condition.

Moreover, the boxes will support animals with weakened immune systems due to chronic illnesses, as well as cats and dogs recovering from surgeries.

For instance, Persyk, a cat with diabetes, requires special conditions and constant care.

Please support the fundraiser. Your contributions will help us speed up the recovery of severely ill animals and improve the living conditions for those with incurable diseases.
