Rabies Vaccine Fundraiser for Animals in Ten Shelters

Rabies is a deadly, incurable viral disease that is dangerous to both animals and humans. Vaccination is the only way to prevent the disease.

In shelters, where animals live in close contact, a single infection can lead to an outbreak and widespread transmission.

These vaccines will not only protect shelter residents but also safeguard people as rabies spreads through bites, scratches, and saliva from infected animals.

We plan to purchase and distribute rabies vaccines to shelters housing evacuated animals. To achieve this, we need to raise 250,560 hryvnias (~$6,000) — this amount will allow us to buy and deliver 2,610 vaccines to shelters caring for over 4,000 pets and farm animals:

• Pegasus (Dnipropetrovsk region) — 1,500 animals;
• Another Dimension (Dnipropetrovsk region) — 130 animals;
• Novyi Svit (Mykolaiv region) — 280 animals;
• Druh (Dnipro) — 850 animals;
• Sumske Tovarystvo Zakhystu Tvaryn — 500 animals;
• Kotokhata (Kyiv) — 200 cats;
• Dream in the Palms (Dnipropetrovsk region) — 124 animals;
• Forsaken Angel (Khmelnytskyi) — 180 animals;
• Dimpets (Sumy) — 62 cats;
• Zoohelp (Kirovohrad region) — 370 animals.

Providing care and treatment for animals is very expensive, and shelters receive no government funding. As they continue to take in animals from frontline areas, they have turned to us for help.
