ABOUT THIS FUNDRAISER

We want to help animals cared for by Ukrainian soldiers. They rescue animals from russian shelling, feed them, nurse them back to health, and do everything possible to ensure that they recover and have a chance at life. But often, animals under the care of the soldiers become very ill or critically injured, then the soldiers turn to us, and we cover the cost of the necessary treatment for their animals.

The money raised will be used to pay for check-ups, tests, medications, vaccinations, surgeries, and hospitalization for animals with disabilities, diseases, or injuries. Help will be provided to soldiers serving in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

This is our fifth fundraiser for animals rescued by soldiers, as help is needed constantly. The money from previous fundraisers was used to pay for the treatment of 79 cats and dogs.

Here are some of the stories of animals we have helped thanks to your donations. To continue doing this, we ask for your support!

Zhulia was one of the animals that lived at the military brigade’s positions. There, a soldier fed and cared for the local dogs and cats and built a house for them.

But one day, someone shot the dogs, and only Zhulia survived. The bullet passed through her stomach and spine without causing damage, but Zhulia could not feel her hind legs. The soldier sutured the wound themselves and administered antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. After a few days, the first good news arrived, as the dog began to move her tail. However, Zhulia had to be taken away for further treatment.

At the request of UAnimals, Save Animals team evacuated Zhulia to a clinic in Dnipro. We paid for tests, ultrasound diagnostics, X-rays, catheterization, and urine drainage. The test results were disappointing: Zhulia will not be able to walk. The dog is now under the care of the Druzhba shelter in Dnipro.

A puppy named Mishka was hit by a car at a checkpoint. A soldier caught the puppy and took it to a clinic for examination, which revealed a broken hind leg.

The puppy underwent surgery at the clinic and soon began to use the legs again.

The soldier did not immediately learn about our project, so he paid for the first part of the treatment himself, and we paid the rest. After his condition stabilized, the puppy went to live with the soldier’s family.

Dog Inga was cared for by soldiers in the Donetsk region. The dog was sick. She had inflammation of the eyes and ears. Therefore, the soldiers asked to evacuate the animal and support her treatment.

The UAnimals team took the animal away and delivered it to the clinic. There, she was diagnosed with chronic otitis, a mammary gland neoplasm, and a corneal injury.

We paid for the ear and eye treatment, complete blood count, heartworm test, kidney and liver monitoring, otoscopy, mammary gland surgery, cytology, and sterilization.

After treatment, we transferred Inga to the Animal House Rescue in the Poltava region.

This is only a fraction of the animals we’ve helped. We do not intend to stop, so we kindly request your support. We are grateful for any donation you can afford!
