Fundraising for a veterinary unit to treat sick animals at Zoohelp shelter

This puppy was dying of enteritis. He was urgently taken to Zoohelp shelter for treatment.

The shelter staff are doing everything they can to help the puppy survive, but the shelter does not have the necessary conditions for such patients. Currently, the puppy is kept in a cage in a warehouse, where there is not even any light, and IVs are placed under a lantern.

Enteritis is a deadly disease that can be transmitted from one animal to another, and this is not the only infection that requires treatment in isolation.

That is why we want to build a special facility for the shelter. There, sick cats and dogs will be treated and operated on. New animals will also be examined, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and will undergo all necessary procedures.

Sick animals will live in a separate quarantine area and will not be able to infect other cats or dogs in the shelter.

We kindly ask for your support! This is not the first fundraiser for the construction of a special facility for veterinary care in shelters. They are really necessary for treating animals.

The special room will be designed as a mobile unit with the necessary lighting, electricity, heating, metal doors, and ventilation. It will be equipped with a table for medical procedures, quarantine boxes, and everything else needed for the treatment and recovery of animals.

Thanks to the veterinary unit at the shelter:

• infections will not spread, and animals will get sick less often;
• there will be adequate conditions for providing care on the shelter’s premises. There will be no need to transport sick and exhausted cats and dogs to clinics every time, except in cases of extreme necessity;
• animals rescued from shelling and the streets will get used to their new conditions faster.
