The host of Breakfast with 1+1, Liudmyla Barbir, posted a video in which she is wearing a t-shirt from the charitable store Animalism. Liudmyla encouraged people to buy items from the store as a way to finance animal rescue efforts.
In the video, they playfully referenced a recent incident where a candid remark from the host about her outfit mistakenly aired on 1+1. The phrase contained a swear word, so the video went viral. However, Liudmyla later apologized, explaining that she was expressing emotions due to the morning russian shelling.
In contrast, in the video about Animalism, Liudmyla says, “Wow, I look so cool in this t-shirt!” The host wore a t-shirt with a black stork from the Red Book collection. The black stork is a rare bird in both Ukraine and all Europe, living in old forests near swamps or lakes. The bird leads a secretive lifestyle, so even scientists rarely see it.
The products from the charitable store also feature images of other endangered species: little bustard, barn owl, lynxes, desmanas, and long-eared hedgehogs. All proceeds from the sale of Animalism items go towards UAnimals’ activities – helping animals.
