Visitors of the “Rodeo” horse club in the Kyiv Oblast report negligent treatment of animals. UAnimals lawyers have filed a complaint with the Main Department of the National Police in the Kyiv region demanding an investigation into the complex and temporary removal of the animals pending a court decision.
The equestrian club is located in the village of Horenka, north of Kyiv. Visitors have noticed that throughout the complex, there are remains of horses, some of which are being fed to local dogs. The visitors informed UAnimals lawyers about this.
The animal protection organization “Every Animal” also posted on Instagram, showing remains of horses on the premises of the complex.
This raises many questions for both visitors and animal rights activists: are the animals receiving veterinary care? What is the overall health condition of the horses? Keeping animals in proper conditions and providing timely medical treatment is required by the Law “On Protection of Animals from Cruelty”.
Other questions to the owner relate to labor legislation: predominantly minors, girls aged 14-17, work in the stables.
If you witness a crime against an animal, take action. You can seek legal advice through the UAnimals Telegram bot.
