Fundraiser to save Ichnya national park from fires

The Ichnya National Park is a unique combination of the natural and plant world of the forest-steppe. It is home to more than 50 species of animals listed in the Red Book of Ukraine and also more than 100 species of animals that are protected by international treaties.

It is located in the Chernihiv region. Just on the line of active hostilities in February-April 2022. There are many forest areas, meadow and swamp ecosystems on the territory of the park. They were partially mined. And they still remain in this condition. This can cause fires.

In addition, the material and technical support of this park is at an extremely low level. Therefore, the purchase of fire-fighting equipment will allow timely warning and liquidation of fires on the territory of the park. Which, in turn, will preserve its ecosystems, certain types of animal and plant life, and the life and health of its employees. The list of necessary equipment has been agreed with the State Emergency Service. At the same time, state funding for the NNP is currently stopped due to the war.

Therefore, in order to preserve the nature and ecosystems of the Ichnya NNP, we are starting a fundraiser for the purchase of fire-fighting equipment for its personnel. Join in!
