This time, our team’s route, together with volunteers, passed through Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, Sloviansk and Pavlograd in Donetsk region, Vovchansk in Kharkiv region, as well as settlements in Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions. For security reasons, we cannot disclose all locations. 

In June, together with volunteers, we also transported 17 animals from veterinary clinics to shelters and new families. Before that, we had rescued them from combat zones. Thanks to care, treatment, and rehabilitation, they recovered and are now settling into safer and more comfortable conditions.

1. We covered medical care, wound treatment, inpatient care, medication, medical supplies, and food for the dog named Zoia, who was evacuated by a volunteer from Zarichne, Zaporizhzhia region. The total cost was UAH 5,040 (≈$113). The funds came from this fundraiser.

2.We covered treatment for two puppies named Mira and Lotti, including initial examination, inpatient care, blood tests, food, parasite prevention, vaccinations, parvovirus and giardia tests, medical supplies, injections, and medication. After treatment, the little ones went to the Zoofamily shelter. The total cost was UAH 127,978.70 (≈$2,875). The funds came from this fundraiser.

3. We covered treatment for 10 animals cared for by soldiers at veterinary clinics. We provided assistance to the dogs named Shakira and Laki in Zaporizhzhia region. We covered inpatient care, therapy and food for Shakira. For Laki — inpatient care, medication, X-ray, pin removal surgery, and food. We covered further treatment for five puppies in Kyiv region: temporary care, veterinary services, medication, and diagnostic tests. We covered treatment for the cat named Bars — inpatient care, medication administration, medical supplies, dental treatment, and food. We also funded inpatient care for Vakka and Feni, including medical supplies, and food. The total cost was UAH 40,751 (≈$915). The funds came from this fundraiser.

4. We covered veterinary treatment for animals in frontline areas. In Zaporizhzhia, the cat named Leon continues to receive treatment — his inpatient care, injection therapy, wound dressings, and food have been covered. In Dnipro, the puppies Manny and Rosie are undergoing treatment. Costs for their inpatient care, medical supplies, and food were covered as well. Assistance was also provided to the puppy named Gary, who was brought to the clinic after the last Vetmission. His inpatient treatment, feeding, medication administration, and medication were paid for. Unfortunately, despite the veterinarians’ efforts, Gary could not be saved. In Odesa, the dog named Miranda received help — we covered her veterinary examination, tests, and spaying. The total cost was UAH 16,717.40 (≈$376).

5.We covered treatment for the dog named Laki, whom volunteer Olena Mykhailenko asked to be evacuated from Kramatorsk. We covered X-ray, initial examination, catheterization, wound care, general and biochemical tests, vaccination, parasite treatment, castration, food, medication, and medical supplies. The total cost was UAH 68,714.90  (≈$1,544). The funds came from this fundraiser.

6. We purchased and delivered 28 parasite prevention treatments for the dogs of the Forsaken Angel shelter. The total cost was UAH 3,507 (≈$79).

7. We covered treatment for 10 animals cared for by soldiers at partner clinics. In Zaporizhzhia, we provided assistance to the dogs named Shakira and Laki. For Shakira, we covered inpatient care, parasite prevention, rehabilitation, and food. For Laki, we covered inpatient care, medical treatment, and food. In Dnipro, we covered treatment for the cat named Bars and for the puppies Vakka and Feni. For Bars, we covered inpatient care, wound treatment, medication administration, dental treatment, diagnostics, medical treatment, medical supplies, and food. For Vakka and Feni, we covered inpatient care, medical supplies, and food. In Kyiv region, we provided assistance to five puppies, including temporary care, medical treatment, oral medication, medical supplies, and food. The total cost was UAH 21,622 (≈$485). The funds came from this fundraiser.

8. We covered treatment for animals from frontline areas at partner clinics. In Zaporizhzhia, the cat named Leon continues to receive treatment — his inpatient care, injection therapy, wound dressings, and food have been covered. In Dnipro, the puppies Manny and Rosie are undergoing treatment. Costs for their inpatient care, medical supplies, and food were covered as well. In Kyiv region, we covered veterinary care for the cat evacuated during the Vetmission from Konotop. We covered inpatient care, medical therapy, medical supplies, wound care, and food. The total cost was UAH 19,404.40 (≈$436).

9. During the Vetmission in Balakliia, Kharkiv region, from 13 June to 16 June, we provided assistance to 447 animals. We vaccinated 366 animals against rabies, microchipped them, and provided parasite treatments. Another 51 animals were separately vaccinated against rabies. We also provided 63 veterinary consultations and treated an additional 20 animals.

10. We covered the ongoing treatment for the dog named Zoia, including wound care, medical supplies, food, veterinary examination, and medications. Zoia was evacuated from Zarichne in Zaporizhzhia region by volunteer Olia Zaitseva. The dog had a large growth. The total cost was UAH 5,040 (≈$113). The funds came from this fundraiser.

11. We covered treatment for animals at partner clinics. In Zaporizhzhia, the dogs named Shakira and Laki continue to receive treatment. For Shakira, we covered inpatient care, and food. For Laki, we covered inpatient care, sterilization, injection therapy, and food. In Kyiv region, we provided assistance to five puppies, including inpatient care, medication, medical supplies, sterilization, vaccinations, injections, oral medication, and food. In Dnipro, Vakka and Feni continue to receive treatment. We covered inpatient care, medical supplies, and food for them.

Also, we covered treatment for the cat named Bars under the soldiers’ care in Dnipro. We covered surgery to remove a growth, histological analysis, anesthesia support, oxygen therapy, post-operative treatment, dental treatment, inpatient care, medication, medical supplies, and food.

We also covered treatment for five kittens that were found by the soldiers. We covered inpatient care, feeding, medication, nasal and eye cleaning, enclosure disinfection, veterinary examinations, medical supplies, and food for them. Unfortunately, despite intensive treatment, three of the kittens could not be saved.

Also, we covered treatment for the dog named Bimala that was found by a soldier. We covered initial examination, inpatient care, medication, blood collection and tests, including general and biochemical, cytology, test for dirofilariasis, wound microflora testing, and medical supplies.

The total cost was UAH 87,876 (≈$1,975). The funds came from this fundraiser.

12. We covered treatment for animals from frontline areas in veterinary clinics. In Kyiv region, we continue treatment for the cat that was brought after the Vetmission in Konotop. We covered inpatient care, wound care, parasite treatment, medical supplies, and food. In Zaporizhzhia, we covered further treatment for the cat named Leon, including inpatient care, injection therapy, wound dressings, and food. In Dnipro, we continue treatment for the puppies Mennie and Rousie. We covered inpatient care, medical supplies, and food for them.

We also covered treatment for the dog named Lusia, who suffered injuries from a guided bomb attack in Zaporizhzhia region. We covered surgery, anesthesia, blood test, inpatient care, medication, medical supplies, and food. The total cost was UAH 25,641.10 (≈$576).

13. We covered the purchase and delivery of 160 parasite treatments for cats at the Cathouse shelter. The total cost was UAH 18,400 (≈$413).

14. We covered the last bill for Teddy’s treatment, including X-ray, castration, veterinary examination, IV drips, food, wound treatment, removal of bone fixation, general and biochemical blood tests, stool analysis, medication, medical supplies, sedation, ear treatment, and cytology. To remind you, Teddy was injured during an evacuation from Druzhkivka, Donetsk region, in December, when a drone hit our team’s vehicle. The total cost was UAH 280,544.10 (≈$6,304). The funds came from this fundraiser.

15. We covered the purchase and delivery of 450 parasite treatments for cats and dogs to the charitable organization Myrnohrad Animals. The total cost was UAH 74,375 (≈$1,671).

16. As part of the fundraiser for vet care for injured and sick animals rescued from the frontline areas, we covered veterinary care for four animals. In Zaporizhzhia, we continued treatment for the cat named Leon. We covered inpatient care, wound dressings, injection therapy, and food for him. In Dnipro, we helped the dog named Lucy, who was injured in a guided bomb attack in Zaporizhzhia region. We covered inpatient care, medication administration, post-operative wound care, anesthesia support, spaying, wound suturing, catheter placement, blood collection and general blood test, medication, medical supplies, treatments, and food for her. Also in Dnipro, we covered treatment for the puppies Manny and Rosie. We covered inpatient care, medication, booster vaccinations, medical supplies, and food for them. The total cost was UAH 17,029 (≈$383).

17. We covered temporary care and food for eight evacuated animals from Donetsk region — two dogs and six puppies. The dog named Blake has already been returned to his owner in Kyiv region. One puppy went to the Patron Pet Center in Kyiv, and five more went to the Ekozakhyst shelter in Khmelnytskyi region. One dog remains at the clinic for now. The total cost was UAH 4,236 (≈$95). The funds came from this fundraiser. We also spent UAH 5,710 (≈$128). The funds came from this fundraiser.

18. We covered treatment for a marsh turtle that our team transported from Zhytomyr region to a partner veterinary clinic in Kyiv. The animal was rescued by a young woman after a dog attack, who reached out to us for help. For the turtle, we covered inpatient care, veterinary examination, and vitamin administration. The total cost was UAH 1,450 (≈$32). The funds came from this fundraiser.

19. We covered veterinary care for 13 animals under soldiers’ care. In Zaporizhzhia, we continued treatment for the dogs named Shakira and Laki. For Shakira, we covered inpatient care, rehabilitation, and food. For Laki — inpatient care and food. Laki successfully completed treatment and was picked up by the soldiers. In Kyiv region, we covered further treatment for five puppies: inpatient care, medication, medical supplies, oral medication administration, and food. In Dnipro, we continued treatment for the puppies Vakka and Feni. For them, we covered inpatient care, medical supplies, and food. After completing treatment, the puppies went under the care of the charitable foundation Lapy Nadiyi.

Also in Dnipro, we continued treatment for kittens with eye infections. For them, we covered feeding, inpatient care, medication administration, nasal and eye cleaning, medical supplies, and food. Unfortunately, despite the veterinarians’ efforts, the kittens could not be saved.

In addition, in Dnipro we covered treatment for the dog named Bimala, including inpatient care, medication administration, medication, medical supplies, and food.

Also in Dnipro, we continued treatment for the cat named Bars. For him, we covered inpatient care, post-operative wound care, medication administration, eye cleaning, testing for microsporia, blood collection, general and biochemical blood tests, medication, medical supplies, and food.

The total cost was UAH 35,235 (≈$792). The funds came from this fundraiser.

20. We covered treatment for the dog named Pushok, who was evacuated from Kramatorsk, Donets region. For him, we covered initial examination, injections, inpatient care, food, ultrasound examination of the kidneys, general blood test, urinalysis, catheterization, blood urea nitrogen test, medical supplies, and a veterinary collar. The total cost was UAH 7,286.50 (≈$164).The funds came from this fundraiser.

21. We covered treatment for the cat named Oscar, who was evacuated by the Kharkiv Rescue team. For him, we covered initial examination, food, blood test, parasite treatment, ultrasound, and inpatient care. After treatment, Oscar went under the care of the Phoenix shelter. The total cost was UAH 6,990 (≈$157). The funds came from this fundraiser.

22. We covered the purchase and delivery of parasite treatments for cats and dogs to the Dream in the Palms, Animal Help Cherkasy, and Babynetkyi shelters. Parasite prevention was provided to 645 animals. The total cost was UAH 90,355 (≈$2,030).

23. We covered veterinary services for eight animals under the soldiers’ care. For the cat named Miso and her five kittens, we covered initial examination, testing for microsporia, parasite treatments, medication, and food. For the cat named Ryzhyk — inpatient care, medication administration, blood collection, biochemical blood test, blood glucose monitoring, medication, and food. For the cat named Lilitka — inpatient care, injection and oral therapy, blood tests, medication, and food. Unfortunately, despite the veterinarians’ efforts, Lilitka did not survive, so we also covered her cremation. The total cost was UAH 45,343.50(≈$1,019). The funds came from this fundraiser.

24. We covered the second veterinary bill for the deer named Boris. For him, we covered anesthesia for transportation to the shared enclosure, veterinary examination, blood tests, deworming, and parasite treatment. The total cost was UAH 24,000 (≈$540). The funds came from this fundraiser.

25. We covered treatment for the cat named Markisa. For her, we covered ultrasound, veterinary examination, tests, spaying, food, medication, litter, and vaccination. The total cost was UAH 32,980 (≈$741). The funds came from this fundraiser.

26. We covered treatment for the cat named Mashka, who was evacuated by the soldiers from Dnipropetrovsk region. For her, we covered ultrasound, veterinary examination, tests, spaying, echocardiography, food, medication, litter, and vaccination. The total cost was UAH 21,685 (≈$487). The funds came from this fundraiser.

27. We covered treatment for the dog named Palkan. For him, we covered wound care, medication, neutering, veterinary passport, vaccination, inpatient care, veterinary examination, X-ray, and food. After treatment, Polkan went to the family of the military volunteer who had originally evacuated him. Now the dog lives in Italy. The total cost was UAH 26,800 (≈$602). The funds came from this fundraiser.

28. We covered further treatment for the dog named Zoia, who was evacuated from the village of Zarichne, Zaporizhzhia region by a volunteer. For her, we covered inpatient care, wound treatment, parasite treatment, and veterinary examination. The total cost was UAH 13,915 (≈$313). The funds came from this fundraiser.

29. We covered the purchase and delivery of disease detection tests in cats for the Vid Sertsia do Khvosta shelter. The total cost was UAH 93,500 (≈$2,110).

30. We covered the purchase and delivery of parasite treatments for cats and dogs to the Vryatuyte Nashi Dushi shelter. The total cost was UAH 23,167 (≈$520).

31. We covered the purchase and delivery of parasite treatments for cats and dogs to the Zakhyst Tvaryn Ukrainy shelter. The total cost was UAH 18,613 (≈$418).

32. During the Vetmission in Liubotyn, Kharkiv region, which took place from 23 June to 27 June, 480 animals received assistance. A total of 452 animals were vaccinated against rabies, microchipped, and treated against parasites. Another 16 animals were separately vaccinated against rabies, and 11 received a combination vaccine. Additionally, we provided nine veterinary consultations, and eight animals received additional treatment.

33. We paid the second veterinary bill for the wolf named Baiko, who was evacuated from Sumy region. We covered anesthesia, blood collection for food and airborne allergen testing, general and biochemical blood tests, vitamin administration, ear treatment, and chronic otitis treatment. The total cost was UAH 29,000 (≈$652).

34. We covered treatment and temporary care for 23 animals evacuated from Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. For a cat from Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, we covered spaying, vaccination, examination, inpatient care, and parasite treatment. After treatment, she went to the Shas Spasu сenter. For a dog from Kramatorsk, we covered neutering, vaccination, examination, veterinary passport issuance, food, and inpatient care. After discharge, the dog will go to a new family. For five kittens, we covered vaccination, examination, parasite treatment, food, and inpatient care. The little ones remain at the veterinary clinic and are awaiting their second vaccination. For two cats from Druzhkivka, Donetsk region, we covered examination, surgeries, parasite treatment, inpatient care, and food. After treatment, we plan to transfer them to a shelter. For a German Wirehaired Pointer, who was evacuated from Dnipropetrovsk region, we covered examination, parasite treatment, ultrasound diagnostic, food, and inpatient care. The total cost was UAH 129,277 (≈$2,905). The funds came from this fundraiser.

35. We covered a CT scan for the cat named Oscar, who was evacuated from Druzhkivka, Donetsk region. The total cost was UAH 12,101 (≈$272). The funds came from this fundraiser.

36. We paid the last bill for the treatment for the dog named Rex. For him, we covered X-ray, castration, veterinary examination, IV drips, food, wound care, general and biochemical blood tests, stool analysis, medication, medical supplies, sedation, tumor removal, and inpatient care. Rex was evacuated from Pokrovske, Dnipropetrovsk region. The total cost was UAH 131,943 (≈$2,965). The funds came from this fundraiser.

1. We covered spaying for the dog named Miranda at a clinic in Odesa. The cost of spaying is included in the treatment invoice described above.

2. During the Vetmission in Balakliia in Kharkiv region, from 13 June to 16 June, we spayed/neutered 366 animals.

3. We covered spaying for the dog named Laki in Zaporizhzhia region and five puppies in Kyiv region. The cost of spaying is included in the treatment invoice described above.

4. We covered spaying/neutering for four animals: two in Dnipro region and two in Zaporizhzhia region. The total cost was UAH 7,900 (≈$178).

5. We covered spaying/neutering, vaccination, and microchipping for 106 animals in Donetsk region and 34 animals in Liubotyn, Kharkiv region. From 23 June to 27 June, we spayed/neutered 452 animals.

6. We covered spaying/neutering and microchipping for 30 animals at the Dream in the Palms shelter in Dnipro region. The total cost was UAH 55,480 (≈$1,247).

1. We provided support to shelters and animal welfare organizations across Ukraine:

• We delivered 210 kilograms of food to the Wild Animal Rescue shelter in Kyiv region.
• We sent 225 kilograms of food to the Babenetsy shelter in Kyiv region.
• We delivered 225 kilograms of food to the Fairy Home for Rescued Animals shelter in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region.
• We provided 258 kilograms of food to the Rukavychka private shelter in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region.
• We delivered 400 kilograms of food (300 kilograms for dogs and 100 kilograms for cats) to the Homeless World shelter in Kyiv region.
• We delivered 300 kilograms of dog food to the Pegasus shelter in Dnipropetrovsk region.
• We delivered 140 kilograms of cat food to Khatul Madan organization in Kyiv,
• We sent 256 kilograms of food to Myrnohrad Animals in Kyiv region.
• We delivered 585 kilograms of food for dogs and cats to the Dream in the Palms shelter in Dnipropetrovsk region.
• We delivered 130 kilograms of food to the Hvostaty Dim shelter in Dnipropetrovsk region.
• We delivered 100 kilograms of cat food and 240 kilograms of dog food to the Novyi Svit Kryvyi Rih shelter in Mykolaiv region.
• We provided 200 kilograms of cat food and 300 kilograms of dog food to Let’s Save Together organization, which cares for nearly 600 stray animals in Zatoka and Serhivka in Odesa region.
• We delivered 330 kilograms of food to the Ryzhyk shelter in Hadiach, Poltava region.
• We delivered 300 kilograms of food to the Another Dimension shelter in Dnipropetrovsk region.
• We sent 200 kilograms of food to the Fluffy Hugs shelter in Dnipro.
• We delivered 205 kilograms of food to the NGO “Base UA”, which evacuates people and animals from Donetsk region and cares for those who end up in temporary shelters during the evacuation process.
• We delivered 400 kilograms of food to the NGO “Sayant” in Kharkiv.
• We provided 150 kilograms of dog food and 140 kilograms of cat food to the Bilozarsk Animals shelter in Dnipropetrovsk region.
• We delivered 50 kilograms of food to the Ivanivska Kotorodyna shelter in Chernihiv region.
• We delivered 60 kilograms of dog food and 100 kilograms of cat food to the Big Heart KR foundation in Kryvyi Rih.
• We delivered 100 kilograms of dog food and 200 kilograms of cat food to the Pukhnasti Druzi Helgy shelter  in Kryvyi Rih.
• We sent 500 kilograms of cat food and 500 kilograms of dog food to the NGO “Teritoria Dobra. Pervomaisk” in Mykolaiv region. 
• We delivered 200 kilograms of food to the Dog Life shelter in Zaporizhzhia.
• We provided 30 kilograms of dog food and 50 kilograms of cat food to the Kotukryttia shelter in Sumy region.
• We delivered 400 kilograms of  dog food and 50 kilograms of cat food to the Sluzhba Zakhystu Tvaryn Shans shelter in Zaporizhzhia.
• We delivered 300 kilograms of dog food and 300 kilograms of cat food to the Give a Chance shelter in Sloviansk, Donetsk region.
• We delivered 160 kilograms of dog food and 60 kilograms of cat food to the Puhnastyk KR shelter in Dnipropetrovsk region.
• We sent 170 kilograms of dog food and 50 kilograms of cat food to the cat named Tobias. Animals of Kherson shelter, which was evacuated to Mykolaiv region.
• We delivered 250 kilograms of food to the Souls of a Tramps shelter in Mykolaiv region.

2. During the Vetmission in Liubotyn, Kharkiv region, we distributed 300 kilograms and 300 grams of dog food and 202 kilograms and 500 grams of cat food.

3. During the Vetmission in Balakliia, Kharkiv region, we distributed 162 kilograms and 900 grams of dog food and 202 kilograms and 200 grams of cat food.

1. We purchased three oxygen concentrators for the shelters Rukavychka KR, Hvostaty Dim, and Adopt Don’t Stop. This equipment will help support animals in critical condition during treatment and recovery. The total cost was UAH 99,750 (≈$2,241).

2. We paid for the manufacturing and delivery of quarantine enclosures for the shelters Hvostaty Dim, Bilozersk Animals, Bim, and Protection of Animals Ukraine. The total cost was UAH 237,200 (≈$5,330).

3. As part of the fundraiser for enclosures for evacuated dogs of the Druzi Space organization, we paid for the manufacturing and delivery of eight enclosures. With the remaining funds, we purchased and delivered collars for dogs and training pads. The total cost was UAH 209,536.50 (≈$4,709).

1. We distributed 2,850 kilograms of food and 1,024 treatments in Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Donetsk regions. During the month, there were 13 such distributions.

2. 70 volunteers joined the UAnimals Cleanup initiative in Holosiivskyi National Nature Park, collecting five tons of waste.

3. 18 volunteers visited two shelters in Kyiv region. They cleaned outdoor enclosures, refilled water bowls, scrubbed the boiler room, two tables, and six large pots, and cleared away construction debris at the Gostomel shelter. They also walked over 40 dogs at the DvorNiaskam Dim shelter.

4. Two volunteers took part in organizing a diplomatic meeting within the #StopEcocideUkraine campaign in The Hague (Netherlands), serving as event curator and photographer.

5. A volunteer designer helped create informational posters in English for the cleanup event at Holosiivskyi National Nature Park. 

6. A volunteer helped transport two puppies to the clinic. 

Also, in June, the UAnimals volunteer community celebrated its first birthday. The best gift for us is your engagement in good deeds. So join the Community and let’s do a lot of good for animals and the environment together.

1. We received a donation of UAH 121,960.53 (≈$2,740) for UAnimals’ institutional activities from private donor Yuxin Ding.

2. We received financial assistance of UAH 770,100 (≈$17,305) from Deutscher Tierschutzbund — the largest organization in Germany and Europe dedicated to animal and nature protection. The funds will be allocated to various areas of animal welfare.

3. We received 50,000 humanitarian points from Nova Poshta to ship aid. These points allowed us to deliver food, medicine, and other essential supplies for animals in shelters, rescue centers, and frontline communities free of charge.

4. We received 2,660 kilograms of food from Josera. This support will be used to help animals affected by the war and cared for by shelters, volunteers, and animal rescuers.

5. Thanks to the charitable campaign “Lapka Turboty” organized by MasterZoo, we received UAH 1,000,000 (≈$22,471) to conduct veterinary missions in Balakliia and Liubotyn, Kharkiv region. Thanks to this support, our veterinary teams were able to treat, spay/neuter, and vaccinate animals in need.

6. We received UAH 236,905.77 (≈$5,323) from the Swedish animal protection organization Djurskyddet Sverige for the treatment of animals affected by the war.

7. Thanks to the support of GlobalGiving — an international charitable platform that helps nonprofit organizations raise funding for important social and humanitarian projects — we received UAH 223,578 (≈$5,024) to conduct a veterinary mission.

1. We submitted 18 reports concerning cases of animal cruelty. In eight of these cases, law enforcement authorities launched a pre-trial investigation. In particular, these include illegal hunting of a moose listed in the Red Book of Ukraine, cruelty to a nutria, systematic abuse of cats by a minor, animal cruelty at the Happy Cat shelter, a case where a kitten was thrown onto the roof of an apartment building, infliction of bodily harm to a kitten with pliers, poisoning of marmots, and abuse of a shepherd dog.

2. We received a refusal ruling in the case of animal poisoning in Lutsk.

3. During the month, four administrative reports were filed: regarding the mother of a child who abused a kitten in Odesa, a man who provided photo services with a monkey at Lake Shatsk, a man who cruelly treated a dog kept on a chain in the village of Vezhytsia in Rivne region, and regarding animal cruelty to rabbits in Odesa.
